President Letter

November, 2007

Dear NAOHN members,

We had a very successful Fall Conference in October! There were many, many positive comments from the participants regarding the speakers and the topics that they covered. We heard about pandemic influenza preparedness, pharmaceutical agents and work place safety, and dealing with stress in our work places. We also got an opportunity to network with each other during the lunch break. I think it is good for us to be supportive of each other in our work environments. We all do different kinds of work, but have so many things in common. And particularly for those of us in one-person offices, the sharing and support seems to be invaluable.

I want to thank everyone who had a part in making this year's Conference a huge success. We will be starting to plan the 2008 Conference right after the New Year. So if you have thoughts or ideas about the 2008 Conference,or would like to help, please let me know. Thank you!

We continue to offer monthly CEU offerings, at different locations throughout the State, on a wide range of topics. We are making a conscientious effort to keep our web-site updated on an on-going basis. Also, if you have ideas on topics or have a speaker in mind or would like to host a CEU offering, please just let me know. You input is always appreciated!

I again want to thank each of you for your participation in NAOHN. This is your organization, and without your efforts and ideas, we would not be where we are today. It is my goal to continue to grow our organization, not only in number of members, but also in how we support each other and our communities. So if you have any ideas, please let me know.

At this time of Thanksgiving, I want to wish each of you and your families a Blessed and Happy Holiday .

Roberta Opperman
NAOHN President
