Job Description

Responsibilities:
* A leader in site sponsored ES&H activities with specific accountability for implementation and management of the Monsanto Occupational Medicine (OM) Fundamental Requirements
* Defined pre-placement, periodic, return to work, fitness for duty, and exit medical examinations
* Management of health care providers, assessment of medical examination results, and necessary follow up; facilitate documentation of medical restrictions, facilitate determination of appropriate accommodations and necessary clinical follow up with site management and HR
* Ensure all clinical findings and follow up recommendations and re-evaluations are followed
* Assessment and follow up of work related injuries supporting and working with company ESH, workers comp carrier and risk management
* Management of hearing conservation, respirator use, and DOT programs
* Management of other OM fundamental requirements such as emergency medical response and blood borne pathogens
* Provide support/lead Ergonomics program
* Develop, coordinate, implement, workers education about relevant OM issues; allergies in the work place, heat stress, management of minor injuries, determination of referral for further medical care
* Work with ESH/IH to coordinate findings with clinical actions, documentation
* Support/lead efforts to implement and train other health care initiatives
* Conduct periodic inspections, observations, safety meetings
* Promote a zero accident tolerance standard for safety
* Perform other duties as directed by management

Qualifications

Required Skills / Experiences

* Registered Nurse (RN) with valid license to practice medicine; 3-5 years experience
* Experience in clinical Occupational Medicine, workers compensation and management of medical provider performance
* Certified to practice in the USA and in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
* Current CPR certificate, trained in emergency response development and implementation
* Able to travel to other seed sites and production areas
* Result orientated with personnel and leadership abilities
* Capable to clearly present information and influence or persuade others through oral and written communications

Desired Skills

* EMT certified
* Certified by NIOSH respirator examinations, CAOHC certified
* Certified in ergonomics
* Certified in wellness field
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
* Bilingual communications - Spanish language
* Audit experience
* MS degree preferred

Cargill - Schuyler, Nebraska. a premium meat processing facility, is looking for a qualified RN to work a full-time, 2nd shift from 1 pm to 9 p.m.

This position is responsible for assisting the Health Services Manager in providing quality medical care to the workforce, pre-employment physicals, assisting with health education programs, and providing care for employees with occupational injuries and illnesses.

Applicants for this position must be a licensed RN in the state of Nebraska and have demonstrated computer skills.  Occupational health experience and knowledge of OSHA regulations is a plus.

 Successful applicants will be required to pass a company paid physical exam, drug and alcohol screen, as well as a criminal background check.  Wage depends on education and experience.
